11:57 pm - So much for finishing the last entry lol Anyway, Let me put a little catching up on here. For the first week here, we basicly went through tons of orientations and paperwork, basicly signing our rights away lol. Check in was easy as hell, just bascily run ALOT of errands around Vista Way to get everything in order like health stuff, ID, uhhh, Car Decals, Apartment keys (Mine and jesses wasnt ready cause the other people hadnt left yet lol) Me and Jesse got to the apratment first and got the room with the personal bathroom lmao! Thing is most of these apratments have three bedroom, one bedroom has a bath room connected to it and the other two have tp share a bathroom so uhhh....yeah lmao. Next to arrive was Matt from Chicago IL he came with his mom and aunt (Jesse and I came with my mom and his parents) After him was Ben also from Chicago who came with his dad. Both of these guys are pertty cool. While the four of us were at Orentation, our next Roomie Eric arrive with his mom. And while we were out my mom and jesses parents went grocery shopping for us, that was so sweet of here, i love my mom. That nnight when i left her at the hotel, i cried cuase i wnst gonna see her for four months(hopefull she will come in november), she cried too. Well that was it basicly for a while our sixth man didnt arrive until a week later. Keven is prety cool. I know not giving any descriptions on them but i will laterlol. God im sleepy, i jsut got off of work which is fucking awsome!! i love it, I wok at Tonys Town Square in the Magic Kingdom. Its the place that is based on the restaurant lady and the tramp ate at in the movie, its so cute lol/ Ive basicly been working Window, which is vasicly the place where the chef yells orders at us and we make it lol Its alotta fun really. Im only going to be there for about two weeks until the Food and Winw festival starts at Epcot, all of my roomats get moved tehre too except for jesse though unfortuanly he is jsut a regular culinary intern. 10:42 pm - NEW JOB NEW JOB NEW JOB!!!! As the name says: I've got a NEW JOB!! WOOOOOOOO!!!! ::Headbangs to Haruka Kanata:: So Friday after school i headed over the Marie Callenders to apply for a job. Well i must have made a pretty good impression with the kitchen manager i was chatting with (Not interviewing) before i had turned in my application. He said something like "Hmm, you know what man, turn in your applicaiton, and i will DEFINTLY give you a call" WOOO!! So i filled it out and turned it in and talked with the General Manager a bit. After that i went to get my sister and pick up my mom. Down side of the night was, i THOUGHT i was schuduled for work at my normal job....i wasnt..... i had punched in and then looked at the scheduel and saw i had friday off... ohhh boy. So anyways, today before i headded to work, i checked the answering machine and it turns out Marie Callenders left a message, it was the KM asking me to call him back! :D Bad thing was when i called he had already left for day, but one of the other managers i talked told me to come in TOMORROW morning at seven in the AM O__O WOOOHOOOO!!!! I cant wait I told my boss Brian and gave him two weeks notice. He told me to forget about it LOL and just told me to not come back but in a much nicer way lol WOOOOOOO!! OH YEAH BABY!! Get a Cashiers check for $60 Mail check to Disney by Monday Await new school verifaction form since the old one is invalid -.- Mail that In asap Somehow, someway, convince the school to give me credit. Hoping to talk to the Registar about it maybe that can override the Department Chair of Culinary Arts GET A CAR!!!! Hopefully Toyota Carolla Find a better job to get more money saved up Wait...five....months....hoooooooo boy... Celebrate my 19th Birthday!!! Arrive at Buena Vista, Florida on August 29th!!!!!!!!! Btw, My best friend Jesse got accepted!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS SO AWESOME!! Heh heh, one of our chefs at school told me that if he and i both got accepted that we would be Goofey and Pluto. Well ok, I talked with the Chairperson at school about trying to get credit for Disney....The only way i can get credit for going is if I FUCKING REGISTER AT ANOTHER COLLEGE but not just any college A MAJOR UNIVERSITY (In other words, Uni Tuition, plus Out-of-State Student Tuition Fee..).....Why cant good things ever be easy.. The three colleges are University of Michigan, University of North Carolina and Purdue University..... Thats alot of money that i do not have. So Unless i can get the local university UTSA to register me at a good price, i am screwed as for earning credit. My only other back up is to take online classes like English or Psycology for my college while i am in Florida, Hey, some credit is better than no credit. 05:05 am - Ohh...Woah..three words......Disney College Program..... Hmmmmmm... Where to begin.. Guess i'll flat out say it. I just got accepted for a college internship at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida... Oh..my...f---ing God... Let me elorborate on the program a little.. This program consists of a five month internship in Disney world. I was picked for a CULINARY INTERNSHIP!!! Which means i'll be working in the kitchens at one of the Disney restaurants! Disney even takes care of room and board, the give us a full furnished apartment at $67-89 dollars a week taken directly out of our paycheck, which isnt tooo bad, that totals up to about 200-300 bucks a month. with the wage i am supposed to be getting there should be about 1200 dollars a month and that is without taxes and the rent The whole thing started when a woman named Norma Jean Rose came into my intro to foods class this semester talking about a disney program that she went through the semester before. To be honest, at first i kinda just blew it off. thinking something like "that sounds cool, but i would NEVER get in" Boy was i ever wrong. A couple of days later (or maybe the same day, i dont know. this was like last month, i cant even remember what i had for breakfast today) One of my good friends, Kristina, came up to me really excited talking about to whole disney thing. She actually got me really really excited about it. We even got my best friend Jesse into it. By the end of the day we were all screaming "FLORIDA!!!" We hadnt even applied yet, and we were so sure of ourselves. It was an awesome feeling. That friday, i found Norma outside of the main kitchen at school and talked to her more about Disney. She is really a wonderful person and said that Disney was the greatest experience of her life. 12:31 am - Well...shit... Pas couple days i have been thinking about my job and school. I love school, and dont get me wrong my job is alright, but... i just want something more.. to be honest the restaurant is not as authentic as you would think. 90% of the food is made before hand and stored untill the day its going to be used. Thats just not what i want anymore.. I mean sure, it was cool at first.. but now i dont like really it and am in denial about it. It is actually making me dislike the culinary field and now i think i need to stop working there in order to keep my love for cooking strong. Not to mention the worst part, my mom has to come pick me up (because parking is about 9 dollars downtown) and fight disoriented drivers just to get to me, i dont like that at all. I mean, the only reason i even have a job right now is because i NEED experience in a restaurant in order to get a job career worthy after i graduate from college. I think the only thing keeping me there is that awesome people i have met there, each one of them has an amazing personality and are great people, even one of my greatest friends, Alex is there, she is so awesome. I want to find another job, but i dont want to resign after just one month of working there that will look pretty bad. But with a two or three week notice, maybe it wont seem as bad.. 12:22 am - OMG OMG OMG I GOT A JOB WOOOO!!!! Ohhhhhh Man!!!!! :D I cant believe this, its so cool. So a few days ago, one of the chefs at school told me that he needed help in his restaurant on the RiverWalk, And i said i would help him in a heartbeat. WOOOOOO. So anyway, i get there at about 12:45 in the afternoon and meet up with Chef Will, he told me to go talk to his son, and help him out. I met his son who is also named Will, and he is totally cool! Basicly we just set up the party room and it didnt take that long, you know things like silverware, table cloths, cups ect. and it looked really nice. The party was to have about 60 people which was considered pretty small. From 4:30 to 6:30 it was basicly a waiting game, doing things like getting the food and liquor in order, chairs, things like that. So when the party people came it was very slow at first only about 20 showed up within the first 45 minutes right when the appitizers came out Tamales ^__^. Ok we started serving the food at 8:30ish and i was the only one taking plates out and refilling drinks, well ok, not the only one but i served about 45 of the 55 that showed up. Even the guests were saying that i was doing a great job, got a five dollar tip from one woman, and a very very lovely compliment from another. It was sooo awesome, after everyone left, i started to help clean up and stack the chairs. I was working my ass off all day and i loved it, i loved the atmosphere, it was great! Now about the pay... I worked 11 hours total at minimum wage 5.15 and hour, im not complaining lol, which totoaled up to 56.57...well....Will gave me an extra 60.00 bucks as a tip... OMG!!! That totaled up to 116.57 for working 11 hours!! WOOOO!! Its an awesome feeling and THEY HIRED ME PERMANTLY!! WOOOOOOO!!!! Now the want me back at 10 am tomorrow morning and im going to do it XD i want to make a really really good impression on these people that i am a hard worker mauhauahuah Its so great! Now on to other more imporant stuffs: I GOT TO TALK TO MY BROTHER!! WOOO!! I am so happy! ^_^ I was able to get his new number, but i cant call him tonight since i have to be at work early tomorrow, ah well :( And also, I got 'A's in all of my classes at school!!!!!! WEEEEEEEEE!!!! Well, i guess that is it for now, i shall report back soon! Current Mood: excited
